PulsePoint is a mobile application designed to rapidly notify nearby potential rescuers of a cardiac emergency and enable early, potentially life-saving intervention while emergency responders are still in route.

•  It is designed to alert CPR-trained citizens of cardiac arrest emergencies occurring nearby in public places.
• When an emergency call is received by a participating fire/EMS agency, PulsePoint will notify users in the vicinity of the emergency so they can provide early CPR assistance before EMS arrives.
• The app shows the exact location of the emergency on a map interface and provides walking directions to the scene.
• The purpose is to increase cardiac arrest survival rates by increasing bystander assistance and shortening the time between collapse and initial CPR/AED application.
• The app also shows the locations of Automated External Defibrillators
