The "Oldest Trophy in All Sports"...The America's Cup, makes an unprecedented return visit to Dana Point Yacht Club! This event is open to the public so invite all your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers.
Our America's Cup Event Committee has been working feverishly in association with the Golden Gate Yacht Club, and the America's Cup Event Authority to bring you a day filled with fun and excitement, not to mention history and tradition.
In addition to having the most coveted sailing trophy in the world at the Club, as promised, we have a very special surprise; The schooner "America" will be here in Dana Point for this event! The yacht is a painstaking replica of the original "America," which in 1851 stunned the world by winning the legendary sailing race around the Isle of Wight and won the trophy that now bears her name, the America's Cup!
