Need a new lawn mower?  The South Coast Air Quality Management District's annual Lawn Mower Exchange Program is now open and you could save 50% to 75% off the price of a new electric mower.  It's easy to participate but pre-registration is required as quantities are limited.

Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino County residents can register via phone or online to claim a spot for the June 28 Lawn Mower Exchange event at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

Just bring your working gas-powered lawn mower and exchange it for a big discount on a new, high-performance, cordless, electric mower.  Electric models are more than 50 percent quieter than a traditional gas-powered mower, environmentally friendly, and lighter for easier operation. Choose from five models starting at only $100.

Exchanging a mower is easy and convenient - only a 10 to 15 minute process without even needing to leave your car.  Gas-powered mowers must be in working condition and only one mower per household can be exchanged.
