The sixth Annual Dana Point Grand Prix of Cycling races into beautiful Dana Point on Sunday, May 6th.
The 2012 edition of the DPGP has been selected by USA Cycling as a member of the National Criterium Calendar, an exclusive series comprising of 19 race events, representing American Pro/Am bicycle racing at its finest. Dana Point was selected to be part of this exclusive group not only because of its beauty, but because of its proactive community involvement with children and cycling advocacy.
On May 6th, Town Center will be action packed and filled with amateur and professional races, Fan Expo, celebrities, fantastic food, and our popular Kids Zone! The Kids Zone will feature bike safety demonstrations, games, contests, and vendors for the future cyclists of America. Come down early to enjoy the fun and register your kids by 11 am for the Youth Series Races. Stay late and watch the professionals go head to head as they race for money, prizes, points, and glory in the largest single-day criterium in the United States!
