Volunteer Opportunities on the CNLM owned and managed Dana Point Preserve - EVERY 4th Saturday from 8-11am.
On Saturday, November 26, 2011, the Center for Natural Lands Management and the City of Dana Point are inviting the general public to come and help maintain the Dana Point Headlands Preserves. This is the third event of our monthly Volunteer Days to be held the 4th Saturday of every month.
The hours are from 8:00am – 11:00am. You may arrive at anytime, but all volunteers must check in at the Nature Interpretive Center. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed within the Preserve.
Bring gloves (preferably leather), wear sturdy shoes and cover from the sun. Tools will be provided. Water is available, but we recommend you bring a refillable water bottle. There are opportunities for all ages and all levels of strength and skill.
Please meet at the City of Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center located at 34558 Scenic Drive, Dana Point, California 92629. Questions can be directed to the CNLM Preserve Manager,
Lee Ann Carranza at Lcarranza@cnlnm.org (949-218-1145).
The City is still looking for docents for the Nature Interpretive Center. If you are interested, please contact Jeff Rosaler, the City of Dana Point Natural Resources Officer, at rosaler@danapoint.org.
Join us in the new year for the next event on Saturday, January 28, 2012; again from 8:00am – 11:00am. There will be no Volunteer event in December 2011.
