Science Night; Saving our Water Quality One Wetland at a Time

Please note the new location for August - October 2018 Science Nights, Lectures will be held at Dana Point City Hall Council Chambers.

Did you know natural wetlands have been almost entirely depleted in southern California? Wetlands provide crucial habitat and environmental services, and are important to improving water quality while using minimal energy and resources. Learn how artificial wetlands have been implemented into the urban environment to reduce urban runoff that directly affects coastal ecosystem health and diversity of our coastal natural resources.

Our speaker Mo Wise is the Wetland Scientist at the Irvine Ranch Water District and a native of Dana Point. See our flyer for more details.

Please contact the Natural Resources Department for more information at DPnaturalresources@danapoint.org or (949) 248-3527
