Fireworks Extravaganza: July 4th at 9:00pm
Don't miss one of South Orange County's best aerial fireworks displays over the skies of Doheny State Beach. Visitors from all over Southern California flock to Dana Point each year to watch the fireworks, so to avoid the traffic jams local residents are encouraged to bike or walk to their favorite viewing spot or take advantage of FREE round trip shuttles buses from Dana Hills High School, 33333 Golden Lantern, to Dana Point Harbor, running from 8:00am to 11:00pm. Please note the last shuttle will leave hte harbor at 11:00pm sharp. If you must drive, plan ahead as parking lots at Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor fill up very early. The fireworks are synchronized to a captivating musical score...if you haven't heard the music with the fireworks, you're only getting half the experience! Bring your radio to your favorite viewing spot and tune it in to 88.5 FM KSBR!
Fireworks Cruise: All Ages Welcome!
This event is co-sponsored by Dana Wharf Sport Fishing. See the fireworks and beautiful harbor lights from the ocean on the sport fishing boat Sum Fun! Refreshments are provided; bring a folding chair if you want to sit. Adults: $29; Seniors and Children under 18: $19. Boat departs from Dana Wharf Sport Fishing. Boat boards at 7:30pm and returns at 10:00pm. Avoid the parking congestion at the harbor and hop on the free shuttle from Dana Hills High School to the harbor area. The shuttles run until 11:00pm.
