The Friends of the Dana Point Headlands invites you to come participate in their monthly children's program at the Dana Point Nature Interpretive Program every 4th Saturday.
Each program is designed to teach kids about the natural world around the Dana Point Headlands Conservation area and introduce them to the flora and fauna found around the preserve. Programs are hands-on and generally geared toward kids and families.
This month's program is titled "Habitat Restoration". Students will learn why non-native, invasive plants are detrimental to the native plant community and how biologist restore habitat and remove invasive plants. This program is geared towards kids aged 11 and older.
Community service hours are available and registration and release forms will be required for restoration activity.
For details and reservations please contact friendsoftheheadlands@cox.net or see a Docent at the Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center.
