Elephant Parade - Welcome to America!
Elephant Parade featuring over 30 life-size baby Asian elephant sculptures painted by renowned artists, dignitaries, and celebrities as well as 45 half-sized replicas have been spread across Dana Point for the past 2 month. These amazing sculptures will be reunited for a free public display starting Saturday, November 9.
Following the public viewing days, on Friday, November 15 there will be a Community Goodbye from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Dana Point residents and community members will come together to say goodbye to the precious pachyderms. Led my community Leaders, a candlelight tribute will be held at dusk, so be sure to arrive at the park by 5 p.m.
On Saturday, November 16, we will celebrate their Final Farewell. The Final Farewell event will include live music, artist interviews, exclusive merchandise sales and creative workshops thoughtout the day. This will be their last appearance together before they are escorted to their new homes.
Following the Final Farewell, a Grand Auction will be held on Sunday, November 17 from 2p.m. to 6 p.m. Come experience an exclusive charity auction at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa as select elephants from the herd will be auctioned to raise money for The Asian Elephant Foundation and their efforts supporting various projects across Asia.
