I want to adopt a pet. What do I do and how much does it cost?
To adopt a new pet, the first step would be to visit the San Clemente- Dana Point Animal Shelter. The front desk at the Animal Shelter will assist with the procedure and paperwork involved in the adoption. Dogs cost $125; cats cost $100, and rabbits cost $45. Adoption fees for other small pets vary. An adoption application must be completed prior to adopting any animal.
Do I need a pet license, and how do I get one?
Pet owners are required to obtain a dog license when the pet is 4 months of age.
